Project MELTS (Micro-credentialing of English Learner Teaching Skills) is an Office of English Language Acquisition (OELA) National Professional Development grant that embeds 10 key skills for teaching English learners at different proficiency levels into teacher preparation courses and professional development in the areas of mathematics, science, social studies, reading, writing, and classroom management. ELAN members who are part of Project MELTS include Joyce Nutta, Florin Mihai, Kerry Purmensky, Leslie Mendez, Laura Monroe, Kouider Mokhtari, Donita Grissom, Cyndi Walters, Carine Strebel, and Edwidge Crevecoeur-Bryant.

Project Dual Language STEPS (Support through Technology Enhanced Programs and Strategies) is is an Office of English Language Acquisition (OELA) National Professional Development grant whose goal is to improve English learners’ (ELs) academic achievement by fostering dual language programs across the Greater Orlando and Tampa Bay areas of Florida. ELAN members who are part of Project DL STEPS include Joyce Nutta, Florin Mihai, Kerry Purmensky, Marjorie Ceballos, Yvonne Cadiz, and Laura Monroe.
